1.1 Template Installation

Open the Novation Launch Control XL Editor (http://uk.novationmusic.com/support/product-downloads?product=Launch+Control+XL) and load the file "Launch_Control_XL_Mapping_Data.syx" from the template folder of the codec package. Now save the template in your device (User #1).

Alternatively, you can make any changes manually. To do so, proceed as in the following example:

Open your Propellerheads Reason Software and go to the preferences window. Click on the „Control Surfaces“ tab.

If the Remote map for your Novation Launch Control XL is installed (either by you or built into Reason), you can use the “Auto-Detect” feature in Reason’s preferences to automatically set up your control surface.

Alternatively you can add the Novation Launch Control XL manually, but usually this is not necessary.

If the Novation Launch Control XL was found, click on "Edit" to check the settings.

Compare the automatically acquired settings with this picture! The device should be named to „Novation Launch Control XL“ and the in and out ports are „Launch Control XL“.

If the Novation Launch Control XL has been correctly identified, then you can close the window.
